Judges’ comments:
“Spending three weeks working undercover in two nursing homes was gutsy and courageous, and a rare example of original, investigative journalism. Rosie managed to produce an outstanding story package, reflecting her first-hand knowledge of the subject matter. She also took extensive photographs to support her claims, which was commendable in the circumstances. Her writing was clear and conveyed her respect for both patients and staff. Rosie’s story prompted investigations across the aged care sector, which we saw as key criteria for success in this category.”
