We are greatly saddened by the recent closures of a large number of regional newsrooms. For these communities, the closures mean there may be no-one to hold local government to account, cover courts, scrutinise business deals and celebrate sporting and other community successes.
In 2021 we will shine a spotlight on the importance of community regional journalism and its contribution to the Australian media, through our programs, culminating in three days of celebration in Tamworth supported by the NSW Government.
